Newly banned / toxic ingredients added to FDA list of cosmetic ingredients.

Here at Cleopatra’s Beauty Line, we want to keep you posted on the work we do. One of the most important things we do is to know and understand our ingredients. To know and understand one must follow FDA regulations on banned and dangerous ingredients.

We were recently made aware of the new toxic/banned ingredients added to FDA ever growing list. The manufactures of these banned ingredients have a few years to clean up their act but we wanted to inform you now so you can make the right choice when choosing your cosmetic / toiletries.

Banned Ingredients:

Dibutyl phthalate

Diethylhexyl phthalate

Diethylhexyl phthalate

Methylene glycol

m-Phenylenediamine and its salts

o-Phenylenediamine and its salts

These ingredients were added from extensive scientific research, which have shown how unsafe/unhealthy these ingredients are. They are found to increase your chances of getting cancer and have shown to disrupt normal hormone levels.

Here at Cleopatra’s Beauty Line not only do we follow US guidelines, we also adhere to European Union cosmetic ingredient standards as their list is more rigorous compared to US.

When purchasing your cosmetics/toiletries make sure you trust your supplier. Many of the products sold online are not regulated or checked by the FDA unless notified by a concerned citizen. If you notice banned ingredients on your cosmetics notify the FDA immediately (you can click here to notify FDA).

As always, read and understand your labels, if you are not sure of an ingredient ask or don’t buy the product. For more information on cosmetic ingredients follow this link

Keeping you and your family safe.
